This is an interdisciplinary lesson plan that was the result of a collaboration of students studying to teach varying subjects to specifically focus on modern entertainment. I developed the plan looking at the topic from both a mathematical and a musical perspective. In particular, this lesson plan synthesizes effective reading strategies into every subject area to encourage deeper thinking.

This is a lesson plan for teaching the piece "Fireflies" on the soprano recorder from the Recorder Routes book to a class of 4th grade students with previous exposure to the soprano recorder. The Orff method is used to teach the lesson, which encourages student creativity and makes the process of learning this song akin to Project-Based Learning.

This is one of the lesson plans from a 12-day Unit Plan on Solving Systems of Equations and Inequalities I wrote. The focus of this day's lesson is on elimination and how to solve problems where the coefficients of neither of the variables are the same. This lesson integrates working with their peers so that students are not alone in learning and comprehending the day's lesson.

This is a multi-day lesson plan for teaching the selection "Harvest Hymn" by Percy Grainger to an intermediate-level high school band. The main learning curve to teaching this piece of music is not the notes or the rhythms, but the musicality. The lesson plan allows for more than enough time to learn the technical and musical aspects of the piece within three days.

I taught this lesson twice to 9th-grade Enriched Geometry classes. The focus was on rewriting equations to focus on different variables. The first time the lesson was taught, every student worked with their own whiteboard and marker instead of in groups and it led to distracted behavior. To compensate for that the second time, students had to verify their answers with other students in their column of desks, encouraging discussion of the math and discouraging lack of attention. The Summative Assessment listed in the lesson plan was not done in either class because there was no indication from me to them that they should take notes during the class.
